A company called Wet Circuit has developed a waterproof power strip, that functions even when it comes in contact with water, where as a normal power strip would short out and almost certainly electrocute you.The Wet Circuit power strip features a patented design that minimizes the flow of electricity when  water comes in contact with the unit, as you can see in the video below.
