There will never be a Mojang-developed Elder Scrolls-like
game called Scrolls. Though the chances of that happening were
vanishingly small in any case, as Mojang just made a very successful indie game
and not struck oil, Bethesda felt the need to clarify that. Mojang
will, however, make its card battling game Scrolls, now that the lawsuit
Bethesda has brought against the Minecraft developer has been settled.

"The settlement is that we give them
the trademark,” Mojang’s "Notch” Persson said, "get to keep the name,
and won’t make an Elder Scrolls competitor using the name.” Luckily,
Bethesda took no issue with any recreations of Tamriel that might be
found in the developer’s other game.
